As a result of the appeal submitted on September 8 this year by MP, member of the National Bureau of MAN Gaik Vartanean and party leader Ion Ceban to the Constitutional Court, not a single head of the Department of Education will be dismissed. The Supreme Court suspended an amendment to the Education Code, through which PAS proposed to dismiss the heads of district and municipal education departments.
“In connection with the appeal of MAN, the amendments were suspended pending the consideration of the appeal by the Supreme Court, which means that no head of the department will be dismissed. All these amendments demonstrated once again that before the local elections, PAS resorts to the subordination of all state institutions and the appointment of people loyal to the authorities,” Chairman Ion Ceban said.
The party leader welcomed the Constitutional Court’s decision, saying international institutions would be informed of the serious violation of the law by the PAS. “We will forward all the conclusions we have reached after studying the legislative act of the Venice Commission to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, the European Commission and many other structures that need to be aware of these serious democratic violations of the “yellow octopus”, said the Chairman of MAN. Ion Ceban added that all these changes, adopted in August, are serious blunders of the “yellow octopus”, which violate, first of all, the right to work.
